Dr. Mark Holmes
Dr. Mark Holmes

Dr. Mark Holmes obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Cell Biology from the University of New Mexico, attended New Mexico State University, as well as the University of Texas – Austin. After graduating from college he ran his own small landscaping company and taught windsurfing lessons. Once the decision was made to follow his real dream of becoming a veterinarian, he went on to receive his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University in 1997.

He completed a year-long internship at a surgery and oncology referral center in Scottsdale, Arizona. He then became an associate veterinarian at a small practice in Scottsdale for two and a half years. After diving into clinical practice under the guidance of others for about 4 years, he decided to open his own practice. His professional interests include preventive health care, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, anesthesia, orthopedic diseases, and general quality of life management.

Personally, he loves to play golf and ride single-speed bicycles, occasionally he will test himself in triathlon or adventure racing. He has been known to climb some mountains in his time as well. Finally, he loves spending time with his wife Missy, his children Keaton and Bryn, his step-children Lauren and Alec, and his pack of Shih-tzu’s Charlie, Axel, Mabel, and Hazel.

Grace brings a friendly smile to our front office as a member of our veterinary team since 2006. Grace was raised in a small town in Northern California, always surrounded by furry friends. Grace and her family decided to move to Colorado in pursuit of a more balanced lifestyle, namely one that would allow them to focus on the importance of family.

Grace and her high school sweetheart, Victor, have been a couple since 1992. Together they have two daughters, Rebecca and Julia and four grandchildren. Grace and her husband currently own a home in Severance and enjoy traveling and long motorcycle rides exploring beautiful Colorado. Grace has had quite an assortment of pets in her home, which she
affectionately calls “her zoo.” Grace currently has an American Staffordshire Terrier named Champy he is the best couch potato, nanny and vacuum. She also has a chinchilla, a gecko,
and a fresh water fish tank. She hopes to welcome a French Bulldog into her home someday.

In her free time, Grace enjoys spending time with her family, yoga, reading, watching football, and traveling.

Madison, a proud Colorado native, graduated with a Bachelor’s from CSU’s Zoology program in 2015 with prospects for attending veterinary school. However, a unique zookeeping opportunity diverted her path, setting the stage for a journey through various career avenues including wildlife research and rehabilitation.

In early 2017, guided by her commitment to faith and family, Madison rediscovered her calling to veterinary medicine. She joined the Paws of the Rockies team in 2019 and found fulfillment as part of a compassionate and fun-loving crew. Through years of experience, she earned her veterinary technician credentials in December 2023 and remains steadfast in her dedication to ongoing education within the veterinary field.

Beyond her professional pursuits, she cherishes quality time with her husband Colton, daughter Harper, and hound dog Max, emphasizing family and faith as pillars in her life. In her free time, Madison actively explores Colorado’s wonders, engaging in hunting, hiking, and camping with her loved ones. When winter blankets the landscape, the family embraces the season through various winter sports and the serenity of snowshoeing.

Kristie York

Kristie was born and raised in Lakewood, CO. She has always had a deep love for animals, especially dogs. She attended CSU before moving to North Carolina, where she was able to apply at a local doggy daycare. From there, she discovered her lifelong passion for working with animals. She has pursued many different interests across the veterinary field, such as physical rehabilitation and diagnostic imaging.

She currently has two pitbulls that she obsessively adores, and a serious tomcat who occasionally likes to join in on the walks with the dogs. In her spare time, she picks up other jobs to spend more time with animals. In her REAL spare time, she enjoys walking her dogs and paddleboarding in the sunshine.

Chelsea Parks

Chelsea was born and raised in Conifer, Colorado, and enjoys exploring all that her home state has to offer with her beloved dog Bruno. She has always had a passion for animals and is continuing her education in environmental conservation.

Her love for animals has led her to travel outside the country to work at wildlife rescues. With her experience managing a boarding and training facility, Chelsea has developed a fondness for understanding animal behavior and working with animals of all temperaments. Chelsea entered the vet field four years ago and is honored to be a part of the Paws of the Rockies team.

Jasmine Anaya
Transplanted from the city of Angels, Jasmine came to us with years of hands-on experience under her belt. Starting with volunteering at animal shelters mainly cleaning and feeding, then at the LA zoo where she kept an eye out to make sure that people were being kind to the animals and studying to make sure she could answer any questions patrons would ask her. She started to learn her technical skills from her brother, who is currently a CVT in LosAngeles, whom she worked with at an emergency and specialty facility. There she learned the
bulk of her pharmaceutical and laboratory knowledge, as well as the beginnings of triage. Coming to Colorado she continued to polish her skills and began her journey in the surgical
field. And when she is not hard at work you can find her at home reading with her cat or playing games with family and friends. She is a seasoned technician and a valued member of
our team.
Jacqui White
Meet Jacqui, a small town girl hailing from the heart of Tennessee, now calling this side of the country home since 2023. Drawn by the captivating charm of the area and its warm-hearted community, Jacqui made the bold move and is enjoying all that Colorado has to offer.

While her adventurous spirit thrives in exploring the great outdoors, Jacqui’s deepest affections rest with her family and furry companions. She is a devoted mother to her green-eyed,
momma’s-boy son, and her beloved rescue Staffordshire Terrier, Bailey.

When she’s not exploring nature or capturing its beauty through her camera lens, Jacqui enjoys immersing herself in music and meeting new people. But above all, what truly drives
her is forging connections. Whether it’s with clients’ families or furry patients, Jacqui’s warmth and genuine interest in others shine through in everything she does.
