Microchip Placement

Microchip Placement

Paws of the Rockies Animal Hospital can provide your pet with a safe, simple and permanent form of identification. The microchip is a device, about the size of a grain of rice, which can be implanted between the shoulder blades of your pet. This microchip device contains a unique ID code which is able to be read by a scanner. Once your pet is microchipped, their unique identification code will be registered with a national recovery database, which is available by phone 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Most veterinary hospitals, shelters, humane organizations and veterinary emergency clinics have scanners to help reunite a lost pet that has been microchipped with their owner.
